Private Transfer from Treviso Airport to Istria

Chauffeur-driven private transfers from Treviso Antonio Canova Airport (TSF) to Grand Park Hotel, Meneghetti, Kempinski and all resorts, villas and private addresses across Rovinj, Poreč, Pula and the Istrian peninsula. You flew into Treviso. Istria is three hours south.

Your Direct Private Transfer from Treviso (TSF) to Istria

Treviso Airport is marketed by Ryanair and Wizz Air as Venice, but the airport is in Treviso, a separate city thirty kilometres northwest of the Venetian lagoon. Guests who have landed here for the first time and expected Venice infrastructure are often briefly disoriented. The terminal is compact, single-level and fast to exit. Baggage claim is quick. There is no water taxi, no island crossing, no vaporetto. There is an airport, a car park and a road. For anyone going directly to Istria rather than into Venice, this is actually the cleaner start to the journey.

Your driver will be waiting in the arrivals hall with a personalised sign bearing your name. Flight tracking begins before you land. If your arrival time shifts, the driver has already adjusted before you clear baggage claim. There is no need to call ahead or send a message. Luggage is handled from the moment you walk through the doors.

Have options on where you land? We also cover transfers from Venice (VCE) and Trieste (TRS) to Istria.

The Signature Drive into Istria

Leaving Treviso the route heads east across the Veneto plain. The landscape here is flat agricultural farmland, wide horizons and vineyard rows that mark the southern edge of Prosecco country before the terrain changes. The A4 motorway east runs parallel to the foothills of the Dolomites to the north, and the drive is straightforward and well-maintained. Unlike the approach from Venice Marco Polo, which joins the motorway essentially at the lagoon, the drive from Treviso adds twenty to twenty-five minutes of Veneto flatlands before the route narrows into the Slovenian border crossing.

Crossing into Slovenia, the limestone Karst plateau takes over. The landscape opens up dramatically and the pale rock formations that define this part of Central Europe give the journey a different character from anything on the Italian side. Since Croatia's Schengen accession on 1 January 2023, the journey continues into Istria with no border stops for passengers who cleared passport control at Treviso Airport on arrival. The full drive to Rovinj takes approximately three hours and twenty minutes.

Guests staying at Grand Park Hotel or Monte Mulini in Rovinj are dropped at the lower harbour entrance on the south side of town. Guests heading to Meneghetti Wine Hotel arrive through Bale's rolling wine country, the estate at the end of an unmarked lane off the main road. Kempinski Hotel Adriatic in Savudrija is approached along the northern Istrian coast, the Golf Club Adriatic visible on the right as the hotel comes into view.

All vehicles have Wi-Fi and device charging. Water is on board. The drive starts as soon as you are settled.

Onward to your hotel? We cover transfers to Istria's leading hotels, and can add a private Brijuni Islands tour.

This is a private transfer. There are no other passengers, no fixed group departure times, and no waiting for a coach to fill. The vehicle leaves when you are ready.

Make Your Treviso to Istria Airport Transfer a Part of the Experience

Your only alternative at Treviso is a shared shuttle coach to Venice Piazzale Roma or an airport taxi. Neither takes you to Istria. Here is what a private transfer with Bel'Istria makes possible instead.

Stop in Treviso if you have time

Most guests fly through Treviso without ever seeing it. The city three kilometres from the terminal has medieval walls, a canal network running through the centre and a slower version of northern Italian life that Venice stopped being decades ago. It is the birthplace of tiramisu, and the hills north of town sit at the southern edge of the Valdobbiadene Prosecco zone. If you arrive early or have time before check-in, Bel'Istria can take you into the old town for an hour before heading south. Most guests who stop say they had no idea Treviso was worth stopping for.

Stop in Piran on the way

The medieval Slovenian coastal town of Piran sits ten minutes off the main route through the Karst. The same stop available from Venice Marco Polo is available from Treviso. If time allows, thirty minutes in the old town before crossing into Istria gives the journey a shape beyond just the drive. Not everyone wants to stop. Those who do rarely regret it.

Local knowledge that is not in any guidebook

Bel'Istria drivers live and work in Istria year-round. They know which entrance Grand Park Hotel uses for arriving guests, how to reach Meneghetti's estate without missing the unmarked lane, and where Kempinski's driveway begins on the approach from Umag. For guests arriving at an Istrian property for the first time after a long journey, that familiarity makes a difference from the first minute.
